Update #2 : The Twitter website was again unavailable at 14:50 eastern time. The Twitter status blog is telling that the issue is still ongoing and that their engineers are working on it to resolve it. The website did not yet told what was causing the outage.
Update : The Twitter website was up and running around 2 p.m. eastern time but had still a few difficulties for some mobile or API users. According to the Times India website, the Twitter website did not really give any explanation for the downfall.
At about 11:50 am this morning, the microblogging website Twitter is down. By checking on the http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com website, it appears to be for every user.
Twitter APIS for Hootsuite or mobile does not seem to work either.
